Our family loves coming to the Board and Brew for game nights and we recently used their private room for a birthday party. It was secluded enough for our party (loud teenagers/tweens , but still close enough to the board games. The pretzel bites, fried cheese curds, Mac n cheese, wings, and milkshakes were all huge hits! The food, in general, is always really good and better than many other restaurants, but you definitely can’t go wrong with their meatballs in plum BBQ sauce and goat cheese! This is a restaurant, not a coffee shop so don’t let the name fool you. I have been here for coffee twice, and the first experience was great. The place seemed welcoming at first. I came today and ordered a coffee. We were told that we couldn’t sit at a table because we ordered our coffee at the counter. This is despite the restaurant not being very busy. I have attached a picture of the completely empty room that you will not be able to sit in and drink your coffee. And, I understand needing people with coffee only to move if space is needed for overflow, but clearly that wasn’t the situation here. I had their two egg breakfast with hash browns and sausage. It was hearty and very good. The people there were very nice, also. However, I had a terrible time with the parking. You had to download an app in order to pay. I tried to do it by telephone, by QR code, with one credit card, and another credit card, and none of them worked. I was concerned, because they don't fine you for parking illegally. They tow you. But I took my chances, and wound up parking for free because their system just didn't work and there was no recourse. Great place to meet up with friends play a board game or just read and get a coffee! Everything came out quickly though it wasn't busy, only food item that wasn't the best was the chocolate bread it was very crumbly and dry. Everything else was great! Do not go on a game day. One of the worst steaks ive ever ate after waiting 60 minutes. It was 75% fat and gristle. I had to make sure i didnt slingshot my 4 bites of steak across the room as i sawed through ligaments.Only order their sandmiches and fries. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
