Wanted to say how impressed I was with the Food and service. Spent the evening of May 6th 2022 at The Bridge Inn, Newport, Shropshire. It was my Special Birthday. Had excellent service , the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was superb, we were a small party of three, but we all had the Fish and Chips. cooked to perfection, then two of the party had the Cheesecake with Pecans for sweet, and I had the Chocolate brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream. It could not have been better. Meal came out for us piping hot and the waitresses were speedy and efficient. Would definitely go back again. In-fact am looking forward to it. Went for food Monday evening wasn't looking for anything to big ordered blt and asked for some chips really tasty but wen the bill came out we were charged 11.95 euro was chocked to say the least checked the menu on the window outside which says blt chips and side salad 10.95 euro so not onlt were we over charged but got no side salad. I spoke to a girl about this and then noticed in the menu board blt 5 euro so I was charged 5 euro for I'd say about 30 chips she couldn't really explain why this happened and charged me 10 euro for the blt and chips in the end. I won't be back because its definitely a real sign of let's rip of the tourists.
We were visiting the area and came across this place and the grandchildren were hungry. No tables available inside so sat outside which was lovely and shady. Four adults ordered the beef, cheese and pickle and fish sandwiches paying extra for fries. No children's menu so ordered a small Sunday roast beef for our grandchildren. We were very surprised children aren't catered for. Beef was chewy, battered fish was very greasy, fries not crisp. Roast potatoes weren't cooked enough. We all left most of our meals. The waitress was very busy and we didn't want to stress her more by complaining.
Had my 21st birthday meal here in December. Food was incredible with great choice. Service was impeccable and they catered to all our needs. Couldn’t of wished for anything better!

Lovely meal, beef cooked to my liking (pink) proper roast pots, good veg, excellent gravy. Try the Shropshire Lad, grear beer, kept well good flavour.
A really lovely place with good quality food. Staff are friendly and accommodating. It is quite expensive but it was all in all a lovely experience
Very nice Sunday lunch. Waitresses were lovely, although the bar man was a bit sullen looking and not very welcoming. Food was delicious.
Friendly staff, very good wine list, food was excellent. Highly recommend!
