What an amazing place. We found it completely by accident whilst looking for somewhere to break the journey home from Anglesey to the South Coast. The team were hosting the local shoot, alongside a village Trick Or Treat extravaganza when we arrived! So lovely to see a pub that is truly still at the heart of the local community. Despite the fact the staff were really busy, and the pub was overflowing, we were made very welcome, the room was amazing, as was dinner, and nothing was too much trouble. Now we have found you, we WILL be back!! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

We had my mums 70th birthday meal here. Very happy with the food. The service was excellent. Special shout out to Kelly who really looked after us all. The menu is what I’d describe as traditional pub food that’s extra special. Look forward to coming back soon. Thanks.

Booked on phone with no problems for a large table of 10 for lunch. Had an amazing time, waitresses were very attentive and the food was lovely! Will definitely be back to enjoy the lovely garden with the kids.

I took my wife here on our first date. Lovely old hostelry in an historic location. On Easter Sunday coming, we will have been married for 55 years. Do they still draw beer from barrels on trestles ? Réservez une table maintenant

What a lovely, friendly pub. Delicious food and a warm atmosphere. A real gem. Various activities for other evenings too: bingo and pub quizzes but super relaxed and good value.

We were able to secure a room last minute late in the evening and the hostess kindly kept the bar open for us to enjoy a drink after a long day.

Delicious roast for Sunday lunch! Gorgeous sunny garden with friendly and smiling staff. The walks around here are stunning. My favourite pub.
