I give this restaurant 3 stars, and it's not because of the food—I actually love the food. However, the experience with the staff who answer the phone is quite disappointing. Every time I call, I can't help but wonder if they need a hug. Did something bad happen to them? It seems unlikely that their bad mood can last all month long. While I understand that resting face is a real phenomenon, I've yet to have a conversation with anyone there where they seem polite or cheerful. I mean, come on, I’m just trying to order a sandwich! Honestly, what happened to this restaurant? I ordered a Captain grinder, which is supposed to come with chicken cutlet, eggplant, mozzarella, and roasted red peppers. Instead, I received just two small slices of eggplant on each half of the grinder. Like other negative reviews I've seen, it’s clear that whoever is making the sandwiches is only putting the absolute bare minimum of ingredients. I won’t be coming back. This was a terrible experience.
The sandwich was okay, but there are certainly better options nearby, as well as some that are worse. This place loses points for not informing you in advance about the fee for credit card transactions. You receive a total amount, swipe your card, and then discover an unexpected charge that’s higher than what you were initially quoted.
I really don’t understand how you can go wrong with a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. When I asked for just a little bit of condiments, I definitely didn’t expect it to be soaked through! They made me a new one, but it was just as bad. Honestly, I could prepare a better sandwich myself. I won’t be returning. I’m done.

I’m not sure how it’s possible to mess up a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. When someone asks for a small amount of condiments, it shouldn’t come out completely drenched. It was remade, but unfortunately, it had the exact same issue. I feel like I could make a better one myself. I won’t be coming back again.
Sandwich was alright, there are definitely better options in the area, definitely some worse. This place does lose points because the charge a fee for using a credit card, and refuses to tell you about it before. You’re told a total, then swipe your card and see a charge for more than what you were told.
I ordered 5 large grinders for a office party lunch with drinks. Sandwiches were good, but I have had much better. My complaint they are too rude to say thank you. Even with a generous tip, they could careless.
The food was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. Coming from the Stamford area, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of meat for the price.

The guy who prepares my spicy chicken grinder is truly an artist. You can see he puts his heart into his work. Bravo to Bronx Deli!
I enjoyed a delicious sandwich here and would definitely return, even as a Red Sox fan! ;) Food rating: 4/5.
