We went to watch the boxing match, but we didn't stay long. The beer selection on tap was great, and the bar staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the regulars seemed a bit put out because we sat in their usual corner. Once we finished our drinks, they approached us to ask if we were leaving and pointed out that they always sit in that spot. They started taking over their drinks and even brought a kitchen towel to clean the table. Overall, it wasn't the most pleasant pub experience.
This is a charming traditional gastro pub that offers a delightful mix of classic pub dishes alongside high-quality gourmet options. The selection of beers, wines, and spirits is impressive. The service is excellent; the staff is friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to assist three visually impaired guests, ensuring they had a pleasant afternoon.
This is a great pub that is surprisingly spacious the food here has always gone down well swift service you're well looked after by the team. Sport events are usually on the TV's there's seating outside and good beverages to. All in all a nice place to visit.
The food is expensive and the beer is overpriced, with no live sports available. The menu claims that the food is homemade, but I wouldn't even feed it to a dog. The lager tastes watered down, especially at nearly £3 a pint. Réservez une table maintenant
The best time to visit is before a Wigan Saints game when the bar is bustling with lively banter among rival fans, and the atmosphere is vibrant. I would recommend avoiding it on...
