The Capital Grille

Overall, dining was a disappointment. For an upscale expensive restaurant, I expect more and The Capital Grille just did not deliver. Specifically, two at our table ordered steak yet no steak sauce of any kind was offered. My scallops with lobster asparagus risotto was underwhelming under seasoned. Frankly, I've made better scallops at home. The two small pieces of asparagus also looked lonely on the plate when I discovered them. Wine by the glass: why no menu for this? I'm merely asked Chardonnay, Pino , Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc. Really? What vineyards are you providing? While our server Dave was good, your support staff to him is in dire need of training. The foods and drinks were great but that is not the main thing that made our visit so memorable. Our server Hayden was the star of the night. He embodies everything that the hospitality industry should strive to. 5 stars is not near enough to rate Hayden. It would be very difficult to list all the details that makes him the gold standard in service. It is a complete package where you cannot point out enough of the things he does to explain how it makes for an amazing dining experience. The other members of the staff are great too and it seems they are all on board with providing a wonderful experience for their guests but there is just sometimes where even in a field of stars one star shines...

Dined here last night for my birthday. Eating at restaurants can be difficult and depressing because I get very sick from dairy, and dairy products are in almost EVERYTHING on a dinner menu. I left a note ahead of time on Open Table so the restaurant was aware of my dairy intolerance in advance. Capital Grille had it handled and placed me with our server, Alycia, who understood my food intolerances well. (If you have food allergies/intolerances, ask for Alycia when you go!! From the presentation of the bottle of wine we picked, to making sure that my food didn't have any milk/cheese/butter in it, to having a special birthday dessert ready to go since I couldn't eat anything on the dessert me...

We get the Seafood Tower every time we come and all cities we visit, we were in our home city this night. The tower was perfect, though a little less crabmeat than usual this visit. We ordered the Parmesan fries and the lobster crab cake. The server raved about the lobster/ crab cake. I believe it was about $26 comes to $30 once you pay the tip. This is the worst item In the menu. It was a big medallion of mush. Just mushy bread filler with a hint of seafood pieces. This item is beneath the Capital Grill and shouldn't be on the menu at all. So the experience was very nice but we were certainly unhappy with this dish and we wished we had ordered something else that was of quality. Otherwise o... Réservez une table maintenant

Annual trip to TCG for BD celebration. Did not disappoint at all. Excellent service from start to finish, water glasses were never empty, finished plates cleared almost instantly and the meal was top notch. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were hot and tasty. Ran out of room to enjoy a few of the dessert specials, but as usual TCG brought over a mini cheesecake and chocolate torte, so we had no choice but to indulge. Nice to have a GC to offset the added lobster to dinner. It won't take a year to come back. See you soon. The service was outstanding, and the food was consistently exceptional. We encountered a minor issue with our takeout order; one of our bags was accidentally left behind. I called the restaurant, and the manager kindly offered to remake the entire meal along with all the sides. They handled the situation with complete professionalism and courtesy. I truly value excellent customer service and effective management! We were very pleased and will definitely return again and again!

We had an unusual experience during our recent visit. We usually choose Capital Grille because of the exceptional service, which sets it apart from other restaurants. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the service was the weakest aspect of our visit. Perhaps it was busier than anticipated or affected by several large parties. The food was good, but it didn’t quite reach the fantastic quality we’ve come to expect.

As always, it is a great special occasion restaurant. To go out and feel you've taken your spouse to some where nice to celebrate special occasions is harder and harder to do. Capitol Grille continues to be that place. Food, service, and atmosphere are always awesome. Réservez une table maintenant

Absolutely top-notch service from the reservation phone call all the way to the last cup of coffee. The kona coffee was brewed to perfection, and the shrimp and crab were incomparable. Thank you, David J, for the exceptional service. I can't wait to come back!

Absolutely incredible. Omar is world class. The service here phenominal and will be the reason we keep going back. Arguably the best meal I've ever had. Go for the food stay for the service.
