The Captain's Table

Wanted to give 4 stars because the food was so good but unfortunately the service was terrible. Visited while there was the nor tech fun run. Many places were slammed and this one was a good choice as they were not busy. With the pandemic causing a staffing shortage, it is very understandable that the service can be slow. They only had one bartender and she was doing her best to keep up. Where the service lacked was the personality of the host. There was no greeting of a friendly smile and almost as if people coming in were a burden to him. Even though there were tables outside, they were reservation only. Unfortunate but we were okay with sitting in. The waitress also took a considerable amount of time to acknowledge our table. On the good note though, the blood orange margarita was delicious. And the drunken hogfish sandwich was awesome! Definitely would still come back if I'm ever in the area.

Wonderful meal and view!. Went for 1 PM lunch Friday after x mas (wed) we were seated right away, great table with view, fabulous **** Mary, wonderful nice large size calamari appetizer was enough for a meal (asked for the special sauce on the side), blackened salmon salad was terrific, shrimp poorboy very good. 4 of us were very satisfied. Price for two meals including drinks $44.00

Highs and lows. Service was pretty good. Salad bar was nice, especially the freshly made Caesar salad and the seafood pasta salad. My stuffed grouper was o.k., but was not hot and yet seemed a bit overdone. The accompanying mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus were quite good. The sauce over the grouper had a good flavor. As I said highs and lows.

We had a wonderful experience. We had reservations so we were in quickly and seated outside- incredible sunset view! We had Ari as our waiter and he was fantastic! Bourbon salmon-amazing! Yellowfin tuna- incredible!! Will be back again next year on our vacation!

Best food in Florida !!! The sea bass is to die for. Presentation and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic with the staff being diligent and effective. Truly a wonderful dining experience.
