2 couples looking for an informal meal within walking distance from home and attracted by the advertising. We found the menu to be predictable with nothing exceptional; it could be any pub menu from 10 years ago. Cooking and presentation was, at best, below average and ho hum. Cold soggy chips were a disaster. Surroundings lacked any ambience. Had the place been 'cheap eats' maybe the disappointing meal would be written off as a bad experience...BUT prices are on the very high side, especially for 2nd rate pub food. Shame because we would like to support our local and we won't be returning anytime soon. Rather drive to Gymea.
Pork chop with apple and coleslaw plus chips$24.00 Chop was dry as dry for the size of it was well over cooked. With a dob on apple sauce to soak up the dry pork. Coleslaw was disappointing that was left on the plate... chips were the savoury of the dish could not fault them . Ended up with a big bowl of chips by the end of it as this was the only best thing on the plate Come on Caringbah lift your game ...I know you can just have a little more pride in what you serve and what you use that accompany the dishes ...
Unplanned visit to bistro on a Tuesday night provided a great surprise when Cheap Tuesday pricing meant all items on the menu were just $15. Then there was the bonus of Trivia as well. Top night.
Wow. This pub used to be awesome before woolies bought it. Food is awful, no character. Really disappointing. Save it now. Lack of ownership, lack of care. No pride in the food.

Had a really nice lunch of the chicken breast with avocado. Chicken juicy, avocado fresh, salad on side fresh, chips hot. For a bistro meal very impressed.
This is our local bistro Go To for lazy mid week dinner. Food consistently good Reasonable price I reckon the superior pub meal around the Shire.
Excellent food choices as was the food. The prawn and chorizo pizza superb. Flathead fish superb and others had steak which was cooked perfectly.
Local hotel and eat there regularly chef s as good as any restaurant around good variety service good all plus s beverage not quite so cheap

The bistro area is pleasant with a wide range of food choices. Friendly staff who will make you a cocktail if you wish. Good for families.
It's a pub so you get good pub food and atmosphere.good for watching the game and eating a nice steak.
