"Went there last night, at $57 per person to get bland tasteless food and over priced drinks. This was the worst food I have ever had in my life. Would rather eat from the gutter next time !"

We ate at the carvery before a recent game for dinner. The cost is $55 per head for a 3 course buffet, but children under 12 are $15 or free prior to day and twilight games. So for families its quite good value. The entrees consist of salads, bread, fresh prawns, mussels, smoked salmon, seafood sauce, cold meats etc. All was good. The mains were roast beef and pork (with a good crackling), and on the night we were there - included cauliflower mornay, rogan josh, ocean trout, rice, spring rolls. Everything was fresh, the fish was a little overdone, the beef was high quality but quite blue. I ate mine, I prefer my meat quite rare anyway, but even for me it was undercooked. My husband couldn't eat it and unfortunately they ran out of pork and it was a 15 minute wait for more and they didn't want to miss the start of the game. The rogan josh was tasty. Dessert was a hit with the kids - a Connoisseur ice-cream bar (bowl or cones), cheeses - blue, brie, cheddar- served with water crackers and savoury sticks, new York baked cheesecake, creme brulees, and a wide range of individual mini desserts which were (the ones I tried) just AMAZING! Things like a black forest mousse cake, almond and honey torte, flourless chocolate cake with a caramel topping, chocolate and orange tart. You can sit and eat and drink until half time so my tip if you're going would be to book a window table so you have a stunning view of the ground, and you can dine and watch in comfort and take your time. The service was very good, staff lovely and efficient at clearing and providing drink service. Drinks are fairly expensive - $15 per glass of wine. But all in all good value if you take your time.

Dined here the night of the soccer Australia v Japan. The cost was $60 per head which included a buffet meal. This consisted of seafood, salad, cold meats, vegetables and numerous varieties of desserts. You can dine till half time so we arrived at 6pm giving us 21/2 hours which was plenty. Drinks were extra, we shared a bottle of wine and thought this was great value with a great selection. You can stay in the restaurant and watch the game or move outside and watch the match. Staff were friendly and made sure our plates were cleared. Overall enjoyed and would do again.

We went to watch the Essendon/Westcoast game on Sunday and booked for lunch at the Carvery, the cost was $65 per head for a 3 course buffet which included seafood. The seafood was fresh and the rest of what I had to eat was of a very good standard. I felt that the drinks were far too expensive. Management should take this on board and rethink their costings, especially when you pay $65 for the food!! Staff were very attentive and we had a great afternoon, especially my husband and brother, because Essendon won.

We went during the match so it was quite empty . The buffet would suit meat lovers really, but it looked dried and overcooked. The salads were modern grains and greens, very tasty. The dessert bar looked amazing but not really that great in the tasting. The ice bar was excellent. Service was pleasant but I felt unattended when we first arrived and it was expected we knew what to do as it was buffet style dining.
