The Case Is Altered Old Redding

Went for Sunday lunch to the Case in Altered in Old Reading. Pretty busy gastro pub. There is a more limited menu in a Sunday but still good choice. The chicken roast was a bit small for a hungry person but fair price for what you get which is a nice tasty quality plate of food. Lamb is better value as you get a sizable leg. For me I had fish and chips and that was lovely. Not too much batter and came dressed in a pretend newspaper. Little touches which make the difference. The pub was closed and it allowed my book this. Totally ruined my evening I had to find parking and walk in the rain to find out it was locked there was no signs out saying closed either. Then walked back to the car in the rain to look for somewhere else to eat.

Thankyou open table, you sent me 2 emails saying that my table was booked for a special 80th birthday. We got there and the pub had shut down!!!!!! No where to go with elderly people on a Sunday lunch time. Awful service.

We went to our venue the case is altered as booked and the venue was shut down- we were not impressed as they shouldn’t take our booking
