The Chequers - Réserver une table

Service was the poor , which was a real shame as the steak was lovely. Multiple waitresses looked after us, but had to be prompted to take our order, and then to chase up the food after 30 mins of waiting. This was at 2.30 in the afternoon so not sure why staff were not able to service the customers. It was a shame as it was my wife's Birthday. After this experience we won't be coming back in a hurry.

Lovely restaurant. This was a return visit with a last minute booking being made on the day. Starters were tasty, we had the bang bang chicken and Calamari. Fillet steak for main which was well cooked and very tender and tasty. Would go again.

Excellent Sunday carvery. Delicious tender tasty beef, lamb, turkey and pork. Yummy red cabbage and honey glazed parsnips. Very helpful, friendly and generous staff. Would definitely have Sunday lunch there again.

Really nice staff and great food. Would recommend everyone, especially if you like Steak!
