Had tried this as a result of good reviews. Sad to say the actual experience was somewhat rather less than this. My friend, who had been there before, did agree that this was much less than previously experienced. Perhaps the 'real ' chef had over-worked on Valentine 's Day . Doubt that we will be returning, as there are other more lovely places [riverside for example] with better food options and way better parking.
This is not the first time we have eaten at the **** and we were not disappointed. My husband had the haddock with poached egg, he said was nice but a bit bland, I had the duck parcel which was good; we both had steaks and they were really tasty; puddings excellent and they got me some soya milk in so I could have a cappuccino, thank you. Lovely meal.
As usual the food and service were very good. We enjoy a few of the Cambs Cuisine restaurants in Hemingford and Cambridge and they never disappoint. We are always confident to recommend them to friends, or to take family and friends there, and have never had anything but positive feedback. They also offer a good value lunch menu.
Lunchtime treat. A thoughtful and varied choice seasonal menu. Something to suit most tastes and pockets from either the set lunch menu the main menu or daily specials board. Spiced Beetroot soup and Sea Bream really hit the spot. The sticky toffee pudding always on the menu, a delightful finish. Réservez une table maintenant
I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant while visiting Huntingdon. It was a hidden gem with an intriguing menu, beautifully presented food, and most importantly, delicious flavors. The service and ambience were also top-notch. I hope to have the chance to return in the future!
Ate there in November 2016 with a friend, and the whole meal was a triumph of flavours. We would particularly commend the much loved sausage and mash combinations as a main course, and the desserts were both fantastic. Will definitely be back soon!
Yet another great meal at The **** I always look forward to going there and they didn't disappoint on this occasion. Well thought through menu, well presented and good service. Can't fault it really.
While the exterior may resemble a typical pub, this restaurant stands out for its exceptional British classics menu. While not inexpensive, the quality of the food makes it well worth the cost. Réservez une table maintenant
