This a good name for this restaurant. The dinner selection and its presentation is very creative. I had lamb shank and my wife had pickerel. Appetizer was mushrooms, done up like escargot. Nice outdoor deck overlooking marina and Lake Muskoka ideal depending on weather. Trees provide shade at dinner time. Good service and friendly atmosphere throughout. Quite popular but they don't take reservations.
Our table enjoyed a great meal - the service was attentive and quick. The food was delicious. Our lunch time meals were the hamburger specials (hand-made all beef burgers) and a few different salads. They were able to accommodate a wheat and corn sensitivity easily. We would recommend the restaurant and we would return again. If it's a nice day try to eat on the patio overlooking the water.
After snowshoeing we were recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint I had the pickerel and it was amazing. I would drive back there just for the pickerel dish. Others in my group had the Meat Loaf and they loved it. We sat in the front section that overlooks the water (frozen at the time). Will come back in the summer to enjoy the food and the view.
Sat our party of six right away. Service was prompt and friendly, despite a busy mid-summer, Cottage Country night. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Creative Plate. Definitely recommend and will return next time we visit Muskoka. Réservez une table maintenant
