Nice pub but the food is not their strong point. Steak and ale pie was disappointing. 1cm thick dry pastry, more pastry than filling. Broccoli was old and yellow, the mash was old and dehydrated from the starch being set for a long time. Gravy was bisto’s finest :D. Chips were undercooked. Onion rings were quite good and a highlight of the meal The service was good though.
The Cross Keys is a welcoming and friendly pub that offers a wide range of real ales and delicious food. Thursday nights are particularly great as they host a curry night.
