The Crown At Pantygelli

My wife and I went for an early dinner at the Crown at Pantygelli recently. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared a starter of salt and pepper calamari, which was beautifully presented and delicious. I then had the slow cooked beef cheek in red wine sauce which was sooo tender and flavourful, the red wine sauce was perfect and the celeriac puree was a delicious accompaniment. My wife had the chicken, mushroom truffle pie with puff pastry, with tender pieces of chicken and tasty mushrooms in a creamy sauce. A lovely meal provided with excellent service. We had a meal here last night as a post wedding celebration. Firstly I'm glad I booked well in advance because the pub was very busy when we arrived. The atmosphere inside was lovely, we were greeted by more than one member of staff. The staff were all fantastic, young enthusiastic, very accommodating and punctual. Had a great meal at lunchtime, even though pub was very busy, they found us a table earned there might be a delay but food served very promptly. Food and service so good we went back for lunch the next day. Service: 5 Location: 4

Fabulous pub for a pint or a meal. The food was incredible and the service was brilliant and so so friendly. The dog also loved his visits! Service: 5 Location: 5
