The pub is located in a charming area with a lively atmosphere. It is a historic Victorian pub that has retained its original character. The spacious interior features a long bar and ample seating, with a cozy wood fire and beautiful windows. The staff are welcoming and friendly, offering a great selection of beers, wines, and spirits. The atmosphere was buzzing during a rugby match. However, the food and service were a bit inconsistent. Despite some confusion with ordering and receiving menus, the food was generally good. The mixed platter for starters was a hit, but the prawn pad thai was disappointing. The vegetables were a mixed bag, with some dishes slightly burnt. The lack of attention...
Over a year for this... AND WHAT A WAIT!!! :D May I say that I usually went to dine put Atleast 3 times a week, and to have such a long abstinence has been scary to try my local! This food was exceptional, dare I say it, the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand!! 11/10 and me and my son, friends and family will 100% return to work our way through the entire menu! A pleasure to eat and drink here. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service and cuisine/quality of food. Bravo! Welcome back from covid!!! Xxx
Yesterday evening, I visited the bar based on my neighbors' recommendation. As soon as I arrived, the staff was welcoming, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. They had no problem with my friend's guide dog and even provided us with easy access to the disabled toilet without us having to ask. Our drinks were served quickly and at a reasonable price. Although we didn't try any of the food, the kitchen appeared clean and the smell of the food was enticing.
I cannot remember when I last had a Thai curry to this exceptional standard. Accompanied by the outstanding Fullers ales including the inimitable London Pride Just a superb experience and delight to find such a friendly pub The curry will feature in my thoughts for an impressive time Come along and enjoy Réservez une table maintenant
I cannot compliment the staff, food and overall atmosphere enough. I am always treated well, the food and drink is impeccable and the service is second to none. Why do anywhere else? Bonus, it’s at the end of my road. Also huge downfall! I need more money! Wow. 11/10 xxx
This pub is excellent in every way. Whether it's the great beer, delicious food, or friendly staff, I can't decide what I love most about it. We used to live nearby but now only come back to visit when we're in the area, and it's just as good as it has always been.
