After reading other reviews, I decided to try the goat tacos at The Cruz-z Family Corp. I ordered the barbacoa, panza, and rellena tacos. All three were tasty, but I especially liked the barbacoa and panza (though I’m not entirely sure which was which—I’ll confirm next time). The rellena was good but lacked spice, consisting mainly of slow-cooked goat meat. At $12 for three tacos, it might seem pricey, but they’re generously stuffed with meat. Overall, it’s more than enough for a full meal.
Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and under-seasoned in the chicken tacos. It was as though the chicken breast was grilled with no salt and then chopped up and put onto a taco. The barbacoa was tender and much better than the chicken but also had noseasoning. The food tasted fresh, but the issue with seasoning made it inedible for me, I had to throw it out. It?s a shametoo, I really wanted to like it and leave a great review. It was not worth the 15 dollars.
4/8/22: Per the other reviews I got the chivo tacos: barbacoa, panza, and rellena. All three were good but the barbacoa and the panza (I think, I'm not exactly sure which name goes with which taco, I will check next time) were the most flavorful. Therellena is good but it's just chunks of slow cooked goat without much spice. $12 for 3 tacos sounds like a lot but they reallystuff the tacos here with meat. It's a meal and a half worth of food.
I was exited to eat Mexican tacos because they taste Amazing from anywhere queens. I was wrong coming here. The beef tacos did not have any flavor and were so dry. I didn't enjoy them at all. I liked the French fries better lol. I ended up eating a tacobecause I was hungry. And to top things off its super expensive. Honestly no where near good and not worth the price. Really delicious tacos. The cabeza was okay (a bit dry and not the most flavorful meat bits) but the rellena de chivo was incredible. I can only imagine how delicious the other 3 goat/chivo options are. I would love the chance to try many other tacosand perhaps other dishes they have in the place. Good music and a traditional, family-fun atmosphere inside
Hidden GEM for their Barbacoa de Chivo (goat meat) so tender delicious! Other taco places will only offer this on weekends here you can get it DAILY! Also, make sure to get Michelada either spicy or regular (the spicy is NOT spicy) soooo GOOD Beer Lime Juice. They are super friendly! Clean bathrooms. Make a stop here if you are in the AREA!!!
The tacos were really delicious. The Cabeza was just okay - a bit dry and not the most flavorful, but the Rellena de Chivo was incredible. I can only imagine how tasty the other 3 Goat/Chivo options are. I would love to try more tacos and possibly other dishes they offer. The restaurant has good music and a traditional family atmosphere.
