My sister chose to visit this restaurant after her daughter's dedication at a large church to celebrate. Although the menu appeared enticing, the food ended up being a letdown. I struggled to decide on what to order. Initially, I ordered fries for my son, who refused to eat them, so others at the table ended up consuming them. I then ordered pretzel bites for my son, which he also did not touch, leading me and my sister's husband's friend across the table to eat some. I visited Dark Horse Tavern on October 28, 2023 with my sister and her family to celebrate her daughter's dedication at a nearby mega church. Despite the enticing menu, we were disappointed with the food. I ordered fries for my son, but he didn't touch them, so others at the table ended up eating them. Dark Horse is a chain but this is my favorite location. It's a small location so I'd recommend reservations on the weekend. But during the week you should be able to get a seat. Food is basic pubfare and they do everything well. Burgers, wings, sandwiches, etc. There is a decent craft beer menu too. The servers are nice and helpful. The restaurant is nice, but on weekends at night it tends to attract a younger crowd, with a lot of young adults drinking excessively and causing disturbances. The service and food are both rated at a 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere is a 3 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Chicken Panini, Cheeseburger, and Fries. The average price per person for a meal is $20-30.

Got carded twice even though I am 25 years old. Both bartender and bouncer gave me attitude and nearly broke my ID trying to bend it. They claimed that “scanning ID’s does not work”. In the end I was not served and left after very poor treatment. The best decision you can make is to skip this crummy dive and hit up the Tap Room across the street. Service: 1
If you’re in your mid-20s and want to have a good time; do NOT come here. Who knows, maybe it’s the fact they don’t know other states exist. I get it, geography is hard. Though, can’t tell if I should or should not be upset considering they thought I (a 24F) looked younger than 21 years old. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
this place serves home alcohol to refill in top shelf bottles and serve fake liquor so that their bartenders drink and lead them in unprofessional wise and treat their customers bad, super racist! I would never recommend this place to anyone I know!
