If you're lucky enough to find this gem, and you live an hour away, IT'S WORTH THE DRIVE! I don't even know where to begin with this restaurant. Every dish I've ever tried has been cooked perfectly and tastes absolutely delicious. I usually get my food to go, but today we decided to eat at the restaurant. James was our server and I have to say, I was really impressed with his customer service. He was so friendly, gave us great recommendations from the menu, and made us feel right at home. We went during lunchtime and the restaurant was busy, but the service was quick. We will definitely be trying more items on the menu and dining in more often after today's experience. Decided to lunch here because our son is a train guy. Good service: we were seated right away and our drinks never got to empty before being refilled. Our family had a combination of breakfast and lunch, and the breakfast was definitely the best. Myhusband loved his pancakes. Two of us had chicken fried steak that was nicely spiced and a very generous portion. I had thechicken salad which was supposed to have grapes but I couldn't find one; it was way too heavy on the mayo for me and served ona bun which I didn't find very aesthetically pleasing. The fruit cup was nice.
James did an excellent job as our waiter - very laid-back and helpful. The Depot is definitely one of the top spots in Leavenworth. I have visited many times and it is always fantastic. The Lady Marmalade Burger is delicious! It's a great place to bring friends and family and introduce them to classic American cuisine and hospitality.
