It was recommended to them by a couple they met in Kirby Lonsdale during Christmas, and they were not disappointed. They received a warm greeting upon arrival, enjoyed a great selection of cask ales, and found the surroundings to be comfortable. The home baked steak pie was hot and delicious, while the Sunday Lunch with mixed meat (the large portion) was described as a mountain of a meal. The staff were happy and efficient, making the dining experience enjoyable. Lakeslady recommends booking ahead for their next visit.
I have been frequenting this rustic pub in the countryside for several years now. They offer something different every night and have friendly hosts and customers. There is ample parking available. The food is excellent and reasonably priced with a good variety to choose from. The popularity of this place speaks for itself. I must mention they also have a wide selection of wines and beers, including several unique options always on hand.
I saw that this restaurant was advertised as open online, but when I went there for lunch, it was closed. I traveled there specifically for their lunch, and it was disappointing to see that others were also showing up only to find it closed. It's not a good look for their business. I later found out that they are not opening until September.
The restaurant is warm and very inviting, with excellent food. They are also very accommodating and welcoming to individuals with disabilities. Thank you!
