Excellent place to have an after-work drink and some good seafood....many of which are fried! The location is fairly convenient, on Rosemead, major intersection, easy to find parking either outside in the lot or underground. Free parking. The restaurant take reservations, so call ahead if you want to minimize wait, can probably call ahead 1-2 days for common party sizes of 3-4. But for larger parties may want to consider calling in earlier. They are very accommodating and you can call in to let them know if your party size is bigger than the maximum party size for the online reservation and they 'll make adjustments for you. Our server, Cindy, was knowledgeable about the drink and food options and was exceptionally pleasant. Another server, Jonathan, was also very helpful, particularly in guiding us through the menu and recommending the special Sunday mimosa for just $6 with any entrée. We thoroughly enjoyed all the appetizers, and our main courses were delicious. A huge thanks to all the servers and cooks at the Dive for making our Sunday so memorable. The food is always exceptional. It's one of the rare places where my husband actually enjoys the gumbo, thanks to the addition of okra. The clam chowder bowl is fantastic, and I've consistently loved their drink of the month. Recently, I tried the Mother of Dragons and it was delightful, but this month's special, Watermelon Sugar High, was super cute and incredibly sweet! They offer a wide variety of food and drink options. This restaurant is definitely a must-visit!
Came early during the happy hour to easily find parking outside.Got seated right away and not yet busy during the weekday evening.Perfect for our xmas dinner.So many good food on the menu, can't make up my mind but I know I'm here for a lobster and I want it whole, so I got it.Creamy sauce, mild spicy, and very delicious..not salty..just perfect.Tried my friend dish and that was also perfect.Can't go wrong here..enjoy! I've been to this restaurant several times, and the food and drinks are consistently excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the prices are very reasonable. I brought my picky boyfriend here for the first time, and even he enjoyed it! Plus, they have beignets, which are hard to come by. Their fish and chips, gumbo, po' boys, oysters, and mussels in broth are all delicious.
They lost power as we were about to get seated. We were given water, that's it. It was our anniversary. We ended up leaving after waiting 30 minutes for the power to be restored. We ended up going to to another restaurant, Newport Seafood Restaurant. No apologies given. The staff seemed unsure what to do. Other customers were waiting for a table and others simply left.
The service was excellent. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were offered seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great experience. We enjoyed watching the chefs at work, and Johnny, the chef, was very friendly. The food was fantastic; I ordered the pan roast and loved it. I can't wait to return and try some of their other dishes.
One of the only place you can get pan roast in the area!Such a interesting way to cook the food. All the items here are good. I usually get a poboy too.
