I can't even count how many times we've been to Don Juan; we probably go there once a week. The staff is wonderful, especially Nancy, who is likely the best server of all time and knows our order by heart. The food is always great and consistently reliable. I love that they make guacamole right at the table, which is a fun experience. My only criticism is about the disaster that was Cinco de Mayo in 2022. They really couldn't handle it, and many of our favorite staff members were overwhelmed and embarrassed. They didn't lose points for it, but I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen again next year. I'm hoping my feedback will be taken into consideration.
I placed my order personally. During my first call, I gathered some information, then I completed my order on the second call. When I arrived to pick it up, the young employee, who seemed inexperienced, thought I was joking because my order was made exactly as I requested. I ended up waiting for an additional 30 minutes. The food is consistently good, but if you're ordering for takeout, I recommend calling back to confirm that your order has been properly processed.
I really wish we had this restaurant close to home! The food here is absolutely incredible! It's truly a celebration for your taste buds! From the vibrant chips to the tacos and giant margaritas, I would honestly travel five hours just to eat here! The staff is friendly and full of energy! They even have digital menus, which I've never encountered before, and the atmosphere is bright and colorful! Definitely a full 5 STARS! I can’t wait to return!
If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant in Pleasantville, located in upper/mid-Westchester County, this place is a fantastic choice. One of the standout features is their incredible selection of tequila. My favorite beer is Modelo Negra, which is always a great option! As for tequila, I highly recommend trying Hornitos Black. I always visit Don Juan's for its breathtaking views and captivating interior decor. The service is excellent, with staff consistently checking in on customers. The food is delicious; I highly recommend the Guacamole en un Molcajete—the presentation is fantastic and the texture is perfect. I also tried a huaraches dish, and it was equally delightful. I highly recommend that as well!
If we could give 4.5, we would. Food was great steak tacos (Tacos Mexicanos) were some of the best cooked steak in a taco ever. Flautas (chicken) were crispy and HUGE. The pico was chunky and not too wet, lots of flavor! Drinks bartender was wonderful, but first round of drinks was wrong. Modelos were poured well, and kegs were fresh. Excited to go back!
