The Dream Place is a traditional Chinese restaurant in Palatine and let me tell you it does not disappoint. The interior is really spectacular and unique. There's quite a lot of room and space and everything seems very clean. We started with the Roast Lamb Bao and it was A+. I definitely will get this every time I go back. Full of flavor, piping hot, and seasoned perfectly. For our entrees we decided on the Braised Pork Belly and the Whole Fish in chili sauce. Even though I'm typically not into pork I have to say it was very flavorful and came with a large veggie portion. A really nice unique dish you don't see too often. Authentic Chinese cuisine can be found in the northwest suburbs. We ordered popcorn chicken, a spicy fry hot pot, lamb bao (available only on weekends), and egg drop soup. Each dish was flavorful, authentic, and served in generous portions. However, I found some dishes to be a bit on the salty side for my taste. The restaurant's interior is very appealing, but unfortunately, our waiter was not proficient in English and couldn't assist my husband, who doesn't speak Chinese, with the menu. Overall, I would rate this restaurant four stars and would consider visiting again next time. Don't forget to check out the small Chinese grocery store in the same strip mall to support local businesses.
QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY! By far the BEST Chinese restaurant around the Northwest Suburbs! Repeating what all the other customers are saying, from the taste to the visual, all the dishes are very authentic, fresh and delicious! The decor is beautiful as well and great parking lot! If I have to bring relatives or guests, this would be the 1st place that I think of. Our entire family loves coming here! NOTE: We also came here in May and had the 4 course Peking Duck meal. From the portion size to the savory flavor of the duck, this is a MUST!!!! I highly recommend this dish!!!

This is a Great Chinese restaurant, extremely clean and spacious. Used to go to Chinatown to get food (Lao Sze Chuan). The Boiled Beef is good, pretty much the same, the spicy Popcorn chicken was good but hoping that it is crispier, but not bad at all and the Mongolian beef was good as well. The portion size was right for the price and I think I won't be trekking down to Chinatown for a while for good Chinese because I don't need to. Can't wait to go again.
