Was on a business trip in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and staying in Rueil-Malmaison. Decided to try the Duke one evening for dinner. It's on a Plaza (place des Impressionnistes) right next to the Seine. I had a nice chicken curry. The venue has a nice selection of whiskey, decor is pleasant and service courteous. I found prices reasonable. Being next to the Seine, it's a great location for a walk after dinner along the park. Not certain scenery of Chatouille and sunset. Well worth a try.
Had dinner with colleagues - a group of 10. A convenient local restaurant with average decor. Good service and friendly waiter. Mixed cuisine menu, fish, meat etc. Salmon to start was ok, but the brioche bread for the lamb burger had obviously been defrosted in a microwave so was hard - a little disappointing. Good place for business meals providing you don't have too high expectations.
Decided not to eat at the hotel and took a short walk down to the river.The Duke seemed busy so decided that was a positive - and how right I was.Had fois grad to start and steak tartar for main. Both of these were excellent and for 34 euros with a drink not a bad price either.The staff were friendly and spoke good English.Will I visit again - yes most definitely.
Un cadre convivial aux bords de la Seine, j'ai été tenté par un double savoyard Bourguignon. Il était bon et généreux. Ensuite, un dessert, une crème brûlée, qui avait une bonne couche croustillante. Je le recommande pour l'accueil, les repas, les vins, le brunch. Je viens de l'autre côté de Paris pour y aller. J'ai découvert grâce à un ami qui habite à proximité. C'est notre référence pour le brunch. Tout est cuisiné maison. On dirait un repas chez la grand-mère. Je recommande.
Bienvenue. Le patron est vraiment gentil. Belle terrasse dans un cadre verdoyant avec vue sur la poitrine. Les salades sont copieuses et excellentes. Un endroit idéal pour passer un bon moment.
It was nice evening, which we spent in the Duke. Nice surrounding, close to river makes this place cozy. Salmon was excellent, chicken too, but portion was not so big.
This was a great stop, carpaccio, two super salads, 7 hour lamb, and a chicken burger all excellent. Service was friendly, fast, thorough. Highly recommend the place. Réservez une table maintenant
