I called this place at 18.46 on 22/01/23(yesterday) and they were happy to take my order to be delivered around 17.30 the following day.(23/01/23). On the day of the delivery around 13.38 I tried to contact them to add one more item but no one would answer although the restaurant was opened. After trying few more times I gave up. We had a disappointing experience at The Elephant on a Friday night. We were the only customers in the restaurant and had to ask for the music to be turned on because it was so quiet. The waiter, who was also the chef for the night, took our order for drinks and food. The food took over 50 minutes to arrive, despite us asking multiple times about its status. The Eli burger we ordered turned out to be a bland coleslaw burger with excessive mayonnaise. They even ran out of rice by 7:30pm. To top it off, we found plastic in our poppadoms. The food is amazing, you can really tell it's made fresh. The flavours of all the dishes are perfectly balanced! The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is lovely, nicely decorated. The food was delicious! I should have requested my curry to be a bit spicier, but I finished everything on my plate and in my bowl. I was unsure if the restaurant was open since there were no other customers, but the staff promptly attended to me. I would recommend this place for a satisfying meal in a timely manner. No toilets and the place is absolutely freezing. Waitress tried her best to meet our needs but can only do so much when the owners are clearly neglecting the place. Disappointed.
We had dal, pork curry, rottis and veg Kothu with a housemade chilli paste and it was soo delicious. The staff were friendly. Keep it up!
