However, it seems that the restaurant has recently changed ownership and the new management lacks the necessary skills to run a restaurant effectively. We had difficulty booking a table over the phone as no one answered despite numerous attempts. The online booking system was also not functioning properly, so we decided to walk in. We had a disappointing experience at The Elephant on a Friday night. We were the only customers in the restaurant and had to ask for the music to be turned on because it was so quiet. The waiter, who was also the chef for the night, took our order for drinks and food. The food took over 50 minutes to arrive, despite us asking multiple times about its status. The Eli burger we ordered turned out to be a bland coleslaw burger with excessive mayonnaise. They even ran out of rice by 7:30pm. To top it off, we found plastic in our poppadoms. We thoroughly enjoyed trying a variety of vegetarian tapas dishes at this restaurant. There were plenty of options to choose from, and we look forward to returning to sample more. The menu was affordable, and they also had a good selection of drinks available. We were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace, and the staff were friendly. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxed and authentic. We had a great experience.
Four of us had the most delicious food we ever tasted in a Sri Lankan restaurant in the UK last night the cocktails are second to none either. Service the attitude of the friendly staff including the manager made the experience memorable. Thank you ' The Elephant ' ,we shall be back. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to have both cocktails and food. The bar snacks are gorgeous, the chilli chips and oh my is so are a must! The servers are all lovely, we were served by Azahara who was so sweet, charismatic and had great recommendations! The different flavoured mojitos are amazing!
I personally prefer having a physical menu instead of using table QR codes because I believe people should not be on their phones too much, but rather socialize. However, the food was uniquely delicious, especially the lobster.
This fantastic restaurant bar has the best cocktails in the city. The staff is friendly and the venue is very clean - I love it!
