Went to the Harp bar last night for a quick bite to eat. We have eaten in the Carnegie usually for a carvery or for the 3 course early bird many times and always enjoyed it. I ordered the 12 inch Pepperoni pizza and my partner just had the Harp burger and fries with a side of onion rings. The Pepperoni pizza was just awful, for one thing, it was more like a 7 inch pizza and it was very like a frozen pizza one can buy in the supermarket, the base was soggy, the whole pizza was an oily mess. I ate very little of it as it was horrible. I told the waitress and she said she'd inform the kitchen. I have always been a fan of the Courtyard restaurant in Swords, previously dubbing it the best in the area. Unfortunately, the restaurant has since closed. I recently dined at the Harp bar and was disappointed with the standard of the food. While the serving staff were doing their best, it seemed that the kitchen staff lacked the necessary training in food presentation. When my meal arrived, it looked like leftover scraps rather than a proper dish. I brought this issue to the attention of the staff following a birthday celebration with 17 guests where we spent approximately 900 euros on food and drinks. The customer service and quality of ingredients at this restaurant are exceptional. I visited on February 16, 2020 and found it to be fantastic value with high-quality produce. The surroundings are comfortable, and I have to give a special mention to the chef who personally delivered my daughter's food to our table. It was a very nice touch. Supporting local businesses like this is important, and I encourage them to keep up the great work.
I went to this hotel and found that they charge for parking, even if you are dining at the restaurant or bar. The reception staff were unfriendly and it seems like they are only interested in getting money from customers. However, the bar staff were helpful and that was the only positive aspect of the experience. There are definitely better dining options in the Swords area.

8 of us went for a meal. 7 had the steak special which consists of a small piece of steak a mushroom a DEEP fried onion ring and chips. I had the fish DEEP fried and a plate full of frozen chips. No presentation at all. The tarter sauce was tasteless. There was only 1 barman working the whole bar. So had to wait when ordering our drinks. I will not be eating there again
no coeliacs here.very disapointed ordered the steak with vegand two glasses of wine meal deal of 25. mostly fat very little unwell. i got glutened as i think it ws cooked in the same oil etc. staff were avoiding and not helpful for coming back too ask if we needed any thing else. our dish was like a starter plate. too small for us after travelling a long journey.
Upstairs bar current layout does not lend itself to hosting individual parties........despite the open plan setting we couldn’t hear Band or DJ and were left with party with music we could hardly hear and some might say no atmosphere. Really disappointed as the venue and room layout has a lot going for it.
Carvery ...lovely...small portions...parking problems...validating ticket a hassle..wouldn’t return ..seating not very comfortable ...service... no smile..next lol

great pub,with great food ,Had the Chicken tenders with their home made Sauce. Great atmosphere in the pub. This is one of them that's well worth a visit.
Great bar nice food and drink. Very friendly bar staff. Very welcoming definitely worth a visit. Will be back
