I went with 29 colleagues for a Christmas celebration at the Bluebell Suite on Saturday, December 9th. We paid over £30.00 for a three-course meal that was completely inedible. Our meal was scheduled for 7:30 pm, but the starter didn't arrive until 9:11pm. The main course came at 9:40pm and seemed to be a pre-prepared meal. The plates were scorching hot, but the food was lukewarm and not enjoyable. Dessert arrived at our table as we were leaving at 10:45pm. In my opinion, the venue was overbooked and understaffed, leading to numerous errors that ruined our special evening. Another party even started fighting, and it seemed there was a lack of senior management to address the situation.
Been a few times and mainly been good over the years, went today and spent almost £40 on a couple of meals. My wife is egg intolerant so I ordered her a mixed grill and said no egg....the bar staff said it doesn't include egg....it came with an egg on, the server was lovely and very apologetic so we just took it off the plate. The mixed grill was bland, the steak was very fatty so my wife left 3/4 of it. I ordered bangers n mash, the potato was really dry. (Think it was powdered potato) the peas were from a tin.....won't ever revisit as it was really poor and obviously staff are not trained about food intolerance.....this could be fatal one day...
Please do not get married here , avoid with all costs , the room was freezing, the food was disgusting a wouldn’t feed it to my dog. They didn’t serve our toasting drinks , to get a refund it took weeks. We got married here on the 18th of December 2022 and it’s took a full year to write this review. Claire the wedding planner was lovely and did what she could however it wasn’t brill as it was down to the venue. The rooms are all run down and grotty , if you want a memorable day please avoid this venue. Marc Moran
Kids inn I’ve came here 5 times now on Sundays and the woman who works their allows a boy (child) to use the staff keys and unlock all the machines and play with the music and sit behind staff desk, I find this absolutely disgusting as the other children are not allowed.. also he goes running about the play area with the keys and climbs on the desk and sits on machines and shows other kids how to open the machine with their hands (as a few faulty) needs changing ASAP Réservez une table maintenant
I went to this restaurant on a Sunday with my family. Even though it was not busy, there was a line at the bar. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they ran out of food at 1:30 and despite us already ordering and paying, they had to come back and ask us for our order again. The food we eventually received was of poor quality and lukewarm, simply thrown on the plate. The play area was old and dirty. I will not be coming back to this restaurant.
Check in was good, staff member was friendly. The room was pretty much as expected, standard but had everything we needed. During the night a washing machine was on the go and kept us awake. We reported this to the assistant manager Amy who dealt with this situation amazingly. Amy exuded exceptional customer service and couldn’t apologise enough which were extremely grateful for. Breakfast was really nice, everything was fresh and tasty, thanks.
We were warmly welcomed by friendly staff at this restaurant. They had a nice variety of food to choose from. The four of us ordered our meals and they arrived quickly and were steaming hot. We had no complaints about the food or service. We would definitely come back when we are in the area again.
Order rump steak medium well, came out medium rare, they just re cooked same steak, also no taste. Other order was spare ribs. This had little taste again, no sauce and came with just two onion rings. The standard here is wetherspoons with a third higher price tag on the food. Réservez une table maintenant
