I regret to say that my experience at this establishment was extremely disappointing, and I wish I could rate it with zero stars. I do not recommend dining or staying here due to the appalling customer service we encountered.
To begin with, the restaurant manager, Alex, was unprofessional and rude. He led our party of six to a table that was unprepared—no place settings, menus, or silverware were provided. Our server was extraordinarily slow and indifferent to our patronage from start to finish which was only part of my decision to remove the Langham from my daughter's wedding venue search. This customer service indifference and lack of teamwork approach should be taken into consideration before committing significant money to any function there. Every employee is an ambassador and a reflection (good or bad) of the organization they work for and the impression they leave can have negative consequences of which they may never know. The Fed is an outstanding bar situated within the Langham Hotel in Boston. The atmosphere is fantastic, featuring comfortable seating and ample space between tables, ensuring a pleasant experience. The drink menu is impressive, and the portions are quite generous. It's definitely worth a visit just for a drink.
We went to the Fed with a party of 5 to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday with family. Our table was ready on arrival. The host took our coats and set us up with still and sparkling water. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were spot on. I'd come back again.

We had oysters, crab claws, and steak frites. The seafood was outstanding as well as the steak frites which was cooked to perfection. Extra nice touch was when waiter brings the bottle of wine to the table when we ordered a 2nd glass. We will definitely be back.
The venue is lovely and elegant, with a slightly upscale vibe. It's beautifully decorated, and the background music is calming and at just the right volume. A few additional main courses might enhance the menu's variety, but overall, everything is very positive.
We were staying at the hotel on the club floor. My family and I were treated very disrespectfully by our server. After waiting 45 minutes for our drinks we ultimately had the maitre'd get our bill for us as the server was nowhere to be seen.
Beautiful place and the appetizers were good. Wasn't too busy but the server looked preoccupied and non attentive. Was looking forward to it, but disappointing overall. Brown bread is very good!!
