This restaurant is set up as a fast food take-out, but it's also a nice place to sit and dine. You can chat with the owner and choose to enter from either St. Thomas Rd. or Moore's Pl. They serve some of the best Fish & Chips in all of Great Britain. The cook has a lot of experience with fish, making it perfectly fried without being mushy or dry. The fish is fresh and flavorful, and the chips are thick and crispy on the outside with a soft interior. They offer a variety of rare lemonades to choose from, which is a nice alternative to beer. Disappointed by very soggy and unappetising chips. Service was reasonable balancing the delivery orders but staff were not keen on scouts waiting at a table and made it clear! Last time we were impressed, tonight I was not.

Best Skate and Chips, serving middle skate which is quite rare now days. Travelled from Spain to try this fish and enjoyed it so much, I had to return and repeat the order.

honestly the worst bunch of staff. Extremely grumpy and rude. I heard the staff being rude to multiple customers not just myself. Won’t be returning.
