Gandía is not exactly high up on the tourist 's list unless you have seen the Borgias television series and want to visit their ancestral palace in the old section of the town (worth seeing). So if you 've been touring the palace and want to taste a piece of Americana, head for Fitzgerald 's, a surprisingly tasty burger venue in the city center. We used a map app to find it. The restaurant is spacious but can get noisy, especially when students roll in. It is frequented mostly by locals and some tourists. I have to say we had the best burgers outside of the USA here, and I didn't expect to find those in Spain. Absolutely tasty, juicy meat, and you can really taste the meat instead of the sauce dominating everything. The fries and the crispy chicken nuggets were also great, and I especially liked the barbecue sauce. Two double burgers, two fries, one portion of nuggets and two coke for 25€ more than fair value for money. We also tried a milkshake and it also met US diner standards. We'll make sure to eat here whenever we're staying near Gandia again.
We visited as a family of four adults (two vegetarian , two teens, a ten year old and an eight year old. The burgers were great, but the chips were the highlight for us all! The vegetarians were impressed with their falafel burgers, the ever hungry teens were filled up and the kids meals were great value and a good size. The staff did a great job of understanding my attempts at Spanish :
Muy buen servicio, rápido, local limpio, personal muy atento y amable. Nos atendió Alba, una chica muy simpática que nos recomendó los nuevos entrantes y hamburguesas. Toda la comida estaba buenísima, nos llenamos tanto que no nos lo pudimos terminar. A la próxima intentaré dejar un sitio para el postre porque también están muy buenos

Nos encantó el establecimiento, no lo habíamos probado pero he de decir que la carne es de calidad así como todo lo que pude probar. La única pega que le pondría es que debería haber más de una persona atendiendo las comandas, para pedir la cola se hace larga, y más aún cuando tienes que volver a por bebida.
Recomiendo muchísimo venir al Fitz Gandia a cenar. Ojalá tengáis tanta suerte con la atención como nosotros: Alba es muy top. Una chica muy atenta y muy maja.
La comida está buena ,el servicio es amable y el ambiente agradable. Que más podemos pedir? Me lo esperaba peor,la verdad.
Hay muy buenos sitios ya para disfrutar de hamburguesas de este tipo. Y Fitz es top.
