I don’t think I have ever left a review like this, but I don’t want other people to be fooled like I was. I’m really not sure where all these 5 star reviews are coming from. We went for a quick dinner after a comedy show and it was by far the worst food I have eaten out in a long time. Everything was old. The salsa was so fermented it bubbled in my mouth. The beans were old and mushy, the queso was gritty and super thin with no flavor, the rice was mush and no coconut flavor and the plantains where made from frozen and slimy. The chips we were given were super stale. Thankfully we were offered a fresh bag and they were much better. For a place open until 1am on Friday I would think the food...
I have been missing Caribbean food, and this restaurant was a wonderful reminder of those flavors. I ordered the veggie bowl, which came with delicious coconut rice, mango quinoa, guacamole, and plantains topped with curry miso sauce. I loved everything! The portions are generous and very satisfying. The staff was really friendly, and they also have their own parking lot. This is an update from my previous review on December 21, 2022.
The food here is some of my favorite that exists. It’s so amazingly delicious you shouldn’t question going here, just go. Think the best and brightest of the uber-flavorful indigenous Caribbean paired with health conscious bowel-food friendly FL and that’s exactly what you get here. Go. Now.Or cater or order pick-up weekly like me.
The staff is so kind and give great recommendations if you are unsure what to get. I had the Sweet Heat Havana signature bowl. Added the extra hot sauce on the side cuz I love the hot sauce here. Pair it with a Diet Coke and you are getting the whole shebang. The blaring Ac adds a nice respite from the hot azz weather.

The owner is one of the friendliest servers I’ve ever had. Incredible foods, I got a mix of the Yardbird bowl and the Sweet Heat Havana and it was so good. After I tried the in house coconut juice I ended up getting that too. Definitely recommend but leave some time afterwards for a
Good food, great people! Gypsy (the manager) went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. Everything was so well seasoned and made fresh in house, including their incredible hot sauce could literally drink that stuff! Will definitely be back.
Delicious! I had the fresh mex bowl. Everything was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bowl was two full servings in my case (sure half there and saved the other half for later). The flavors are authentic and the staff was friendly.
Really tasty bowls with unique flavors. I also really enjoyed the gentlemen who served us. He was really patient and kind with all our questions, and never tried to rush us. Will definitely be back.
