We dined there last night after searching for a place on TripAdvisor, as we are not from the area. We were warmly greeted by a very friendly host who showed us to our seats. I ordered the risotto as an appetizer, which was delicious and a generous portion! For my main course, I had the pork shoulder, and it was absolutely delightful. My friend started with brie and had the vegetable lasagna for her main course, and she loved both dishes. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious—just like a true country pub experience.
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here yesterday with my daughter. My crackling was really crackling, crunchy and delish, Yorkshire Puds to die for and the toffee sauce on my sticky toffee pudding was yummy and plentiful. Staff were attentive,pleasant and helpful and we will definitely be returning, thanks guys xx
I had a lovely lunch here. The bread served before the meal was great. We all opted for the chicken cake, which was probably the best torta I've ever had; it was absolutely beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming. We enjoyed looking at numerous paintings, and we were never disappointed.
I've eaten a nice Sunday dinner for my birthday. the crisp was fantastic with the fried pork and the sticky toffe pudding beautiful and one must! Many thanks to all the staff, especially gareth, who looked after us. what a fabulous pub, a first visit for us and not the last, we will be back soon. Réservez une table maintenant
