My last visit to the Funky Fish Inn was in mid-2017 when I spent a couple of months on the coast. I loved it then, and I was eager to see how the new management was doing now that I'm back on the coast due to Covid-19. I visited about a month ago and was delighted to meet the new owner, Bianca, and try their $8 special Fish and Chips. It was fabulous. ordered a $35 family package to find out its actually $45 at picking up. there was nothing in this, which was even close to being edible. the fishbatter had a terrible texture and taste and the fish was not fresh at all. the calamari. was dry and hard. the chips tasted as if they were a week old and newly cooked. warns even game to try the dim sims. my children love fish and chips, but they refused to eat that. directly into the box. extremely dissapointing.
This is my go to for fish n chips! Made more awesome by the lady that is working most times I go there. As we pulled up tonight, we noticed the open sign turned off. She came out, said she had had quiet night, but was happy to turn back on fryers for us. She then proceeded to tell us we could sit in the warm car and wait, then brought our fish n chips to us! Great service, great food! Thankyou!

First visit great Fish and plenty of it! Friendly staff very impressed by quality and portion size! Second visit very average piece of fish, I asked for a specific fish type and looks like I got something far from fresh. I'm sure if you ask what's fresh you won't be disappointed...
I ordered two orders of calamari and a serving of chips over the phone and picked it up at 7:40pm. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the chips were also good. I plan to try the affordable fish and chips special on Tuesdays next time.
Best fish, chips, scallops and burger I’ve had in a long while. The cooking process must be of the utmost quality as the flavour was clean, crisp and very enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone. Well done Funky Fish.
absolutely regret to go into these loading to get fish and chips. greezy as, the fried dim sims the insides were mush (cap product) the fish tasted like dirt and even my dog was not sure about eating. never again

This restaurant is definitely a great value for your money. The meals are affordable, the service is top-notch, and the food tastes amazing. I will definitely be returning!
