I love the plant-based menu have been a regular since they opened. However the last few months prices have increased considerably which makes me think twice about going. We are vegan so I appreciate plant-based food is quite labour-intensive however the price point in my opinion is very much on the high side. I noticed it has been far quieter so perhaps others are thinking the same. Additionally staff have changed. The service is sadly inattentive. It seems difficult to catch anyone’s eye even when its quiet. You wait a long time for anyone to come to the table to give you a menu so definitely quicker to get one yourself. No-one comes to ask if you’d like a dessert or a drink so again better...
My partner and I absolutely love this place! We discovered it recently only to learn it's been here for 8 years! Having lived in Altrincham for 10 we are only sad we've missed out on 8 years of delicious brunches!! The salad bar is absolutely amazing super healthy and the portions are perfect. We have started getting a family sized bowl to go alongside our dinner in the evening as recommended by one of the members of staff with the dark hair (sorry we didn't catch her name! . The coffee is also amazing and the only place we get our takeaway now. We came in for brekkie this morning and they actually had a problem with the till which meant the orders hadn't gone through to the kitchen the prob...
We absolutely adore the Garden Eatery. We visit as often as possible because we love the healthy food and the exceptional service from the staff. They always take great care of us. The hot chocolate is unparalleled - the best we've ever had. The restaurant itself has a fantastic atmosphere that is very relaxing. Our favorite spot is sitting outside in the charming garden area. The cozy tables inside are also a hit with us. Unfortunately, we are a 45-minute car ride away, otherwise, we would be regulars. This little cafe has an nice atmosphere and a good ethos however, the food is pretty overpriced and the drinks are seriously overpriced. The biggest problem I have with this place is that you have to go to the till to ask and pay your bill where they announce that there will be a 10% service charge added. They have made it very uncomfortable for you to refuse this service charge whilst stood in the middle of all the other customers not to mention the prices are very expensive enough without adding an additional 10%. The service was ok but not all staff were up to speed with the menu but then they have the cheek to ask for another 10% for it. Will not be returning for that reason. Réservez une table maintenant
Service at Garden Cafe was not very attentive and the coffee was terrible. We came in for a quick coffee, but even though the place was mostly empty, it took 10 minutes to get our drinks. My coffee was so bad that I had to throw it away – it was weak and had no flavor. There are much better coffee shops in Altrincham, like MARAKESH with amazing service and delicious coffee, California Coffee for a warm welcome every time, 2Brothers for great coffee (even with a bad playlist), and MOST bakery for an all-around great experience. Garden Cafe, you really need to step up your game because today was a disappointment.
We are making an effort to eat healthier, and motorway service stations are not providing the options we need. On our way to Glasgow from Essex, we stumbled upon this hidden gem halfway through our journey. Located just a few miles off the M6, we were delighted to find this restaurant. (Thanks, Google!
