Just returned from the most wonderful 2 days at The George .. We booked our wedding here and married at the church over the road.. Tracey and the team couldn't have made our special time more perfect.. we stayed here with family who had travelled to be with us ..all the rooms were perfect with everything we needed.. extremely comfortable beds lovely and clean. Breakfast was fabulous with a proper full English, cereal, and delicious fresh pastries available. We also had our reception for 50 people here with buffet and disco provided. We live in a nearby village and had not been to the George since it changed ownership. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The location is beautiful, but despite having a reservation, we were confused upon arrival and had trouble finding our table. After waiting at the bar for 30 minutes, we asked a waitress for help and were directed to sit outside, where no tables were available. We had to go back inside and wait in line again to be seated at a less than ideal table. Despite being a party of 6, we were given only one menu to share, which was taken from us by another table. What a fantastic happy, friendly and atmospheric pub! The staff are excellent under excellent management. At the age of 75 years, 6 months and 20 days, i can honestly declare that I have NEVER been in such friendly pub as The George at Brailes before in my life. Keep up the good work and don't change! Incidentally the Steak Ale pie on Saturday afternoon was just what the doctor ordered!
Perfect countryside pub! Delish dinner with veggie friendly options, great atmosphere in the bar with friendly locals and staff. Big, beautifully kept garden. The room was nice and clean, comfy bed thoughtful touches to make you feel at home. Thanks so much for making our stay so special, will be coming again!

I had a fantastic experience at this pub that is inclusive to everyone. The food, beer, atmosphere, and staff were all excellent. The locals were friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed sitting outside in the spacious, well-maintained garden with room for children to play. It was a great evening, thanks to Tracy.
Beautiful pub in a wonderful part of the country. We had dinner and listened to a great band. The meal sadly did not live up to expectations,my husbands meal was fine, but mine was ridiculously small,I had the fish which was £18 and I have seen more fish in a fishfinger. Wine was fine.
We’ve been twice before and had lovely meals and been very happy. I’m hoping today was just an off day the food was poor and nobody finished their meal. We would have another go and give them benefit of the doubt maybe chef was sick or something?
Dropped in for a pint after a walk in the surrounding countryside. 5 draught Hook Norton ales on tap, inglenook fireplace, nice decor and beer mats on the tables. Couldn't ask for more

The place is spotlessly clean , Tracy the owner was brilliant, friendly as was the staff too , very quiet surroundings, food was lovely , nice big breakfast was tasty as well ,
The food was terrible and the service was rude and disrespectful. There was no apology or refund given for the poor quality of the pasta and steak served.
