While out shopping we decided to pop in the George for a drink, the staff were friendly and welcoming, while having a drink we decided to have a meal, the service we received was excellent, the meals were very hot when the came out both my husband and myself really enjoyed our meals, I would highly recommend popping in the George for a drink and food while out shopping, thank you for the very warm welcome and excellent service,
The George Eliot offers a really nice friendly welcome. It is a warm spacious pub showing all sports on big screens around the building. The food offers good value for money, it’s hot served in quick time and with a smile. Support this town centre location other than the the cheap big names in the vicinity.
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant - the food was great, the beer was tasty, and the staff was super friendly! We went to watch the Six Nations matches and had a fantastic time. We will definitely be returning.
I visited the George Eliot with my nieces and sister for a meal, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch at an affordable price. The children's meals were also generous in size. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating. Réservez une table maintenant
I visited The George for a quick meal and immediately felt welcomed upon entering. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and satisfying. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Met with family for the afternoon. We ordered food and drink at such excellent prices . We received food all the food was what we ordered and hot served from very pleasent staff.
Visited with friends. Service was good. We had 241 cocktails which were cheap and good value. Some of us had food and this was lovely. My steak was perfect. Staff very friendly.
Watched the recent England game here and food was served to outside patio garden. Children’s menu and main course menus reasonably priced and really nice Réservez une table maintenant
Nipped in for a pint to kill time. Good service warm and friendly. Didn’t try any food but menu was good and what I saw served looked nice.
