We saw online that it was buy one burger get one free deal on a Tuesday but when we got there. The bar lady said that the website and the online site was not updated. It was actually a £10 burger deal. We then looked at the menu we chose some food the the Barman was not bothered and not accommodating, particularly when the food arrived. The steak and Guinness pie was all pastry. The roasted vegetables will burn and my stroganoff was tasteless. my friend and I ordered two identical Sunday chicken roasts, his dish was good, mine had two pieces of chicken, one tasted like old meat, the other frankly smelled like rotten meat and tasted the same; the atmosphere is nice, but the food was disappointing
We had a fantastic evening at the George Payne. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were very friendly. Definitely our favorite spot in the neighborhood!
We pre booked for the Scotland vs Ireland game, service is super fast and big place for big groups we had 23 for our stag do group had a tab for £500 felt like it was bottomless. Great prices for drink.

Came to the George Payne this Sunday for a proper roastie in the sun! The food was delicious, black pepper beef was amazing! Staff lovely as always
The pub has a pleasant atmosphere with welcoming staff and good energy. Didn't try the food on this occasion.
Not really for me. Tables just packed in feeling really tight but midweek nobody there.
We had lunch on a Friday and it was fantastic. It's a great spot to relax and unwind.
