Called into the Globe for a few drinks after lunch, I was actually looking for another pub in the area and stumbled across this one. Was first met with quite an assertive gentlemen making us sign in the track and trace sheet (albeit he was not wearing a mask! . During these times they of course only offer table service, I did find the staff to be rather stern and not friendly (obviously the pub relies on location and not repeat visitors . The bar staff (preparing the drinks also need some training, the pints were always short! However the spirits that were served always had plenty of ice! I had a bad experience at Globe Tavern recently. I paid for my drinks using contactless payment, everything seemed to be okay. However, when I went to use the inadequate and unsanitary bathroom, I was told that my card payment had been declined without any proof provided. To make matters worse, I was double charged for my drinks. This seems suspicious. Be cautious about where you choose to spend your money as we come out of lockdown.
Worst experience with a racist waitress who told us “I quit” and decided to serve another people, just because we were trying to decided where to sit. We arrived just looking for a place to chill with friends, and get the worst experience in our trip to London, of course I will not recommend this place for a foreign people because dealing with racism is the last thing you expect to do.
we waited 10 minutes to have a table. What is time considered normal. after that all the waitresses passed by our table and did not made our order. we waited 30 minutes to have the first drinks, which is impossible for a pub that was not crowded. I ordered my strawberry cider and came kiwi which was quite annoying. bad experience. We don’t come back

A lovely pub and great staff. My friend became Ill while we were there and the staff were amazing. They knew what the problem was (low blood sugar) and provided a bottle of coke and support while she recovered. Definitely worth a trip.
Its helpful when a barman knows his stuff, very good customer service, we even had a picnic in the pub, not many places allow that. T beer is kept well and is a good selection. Thanks guys we will be back

Really enjoyed our visit to this pub it was a Thursday night we was doing a pub crawl, we was served by a lovely young lady ellie. Who was very helpful.
Ended up here for a drink with a friend pre dinner great place with very reasonably priced wine and great atmosphere.
