The Golden Haddock

This restaurant is amazing! The staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful. We opted for takeout to enjoy by the sea, just 100 meters away. The fish was incredibly delicious and fresh, with a great batter, and the chips were fantastic. It definitely surpasses many award-winning restaurants on the east coast. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We bought a white pudding supper and a small fish cake supper from the Golden Haddock tonight. We live in Montrose whee there a couple of good chippys however the suppers were delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the lady who was frying the chips, she was chatting with all the customers. We will certainly be back.

Sat in for our meal, very spacious restaurant and helpful staff.fish was as good as we expected. My 76 year old wife left her handbag. owner arrived at our door at 9pm with it, 14 miles to our home...As we had not phoned she correctly knew my wife had not yet missed it. GOLD star service indeed.

excellent fish sauce perfectly cooked. nice crispy teig beautiful crispy chips, fresh tasting eating and friendly staff. visit by dundee and have used this chip store many times in the run of the years and I had never had a bad meal, have tried other places but always come here. absolutely loved this little chippy. I had the spiced squid pudding that was from this world, and the smokey squid tasted as delicious as they promised. the ambiente was pretty good and it is a must to try the local delicacies.

Horrible white pudding supper. Batter thick and chewy and a quarter of the chips black and green and had to be thrown out. Will not be back in a hurry will go back to our usual one.

You really can't go wrong when you visit the Golden Haddock. For take away or sit in it's good value. Friendly staff and always a welcome from Claude and Mel.
