The Golden Pheasant

Tried Czech food last night, just look at the size of this weiner schnitzel it is huge! It came with so much fries and also a side salad. Came out of kitchen crispy and hot! Also had the beef goulash with bread dumpling (basically steamed bun) had nice spice flavour and veggies but the beef was very lean and chewy, roasted beef in root vegetable cream sauce was a little dry and tough but the cream sauce and side of cranberry sauce made it much better and also got the beef tripe soup, caution very oily and super hot, very black peppered taste. If you come here definitely order the schnitzel. The food was great for sharing, and tip don't order the schnitzel individually, you will not finish it...

An absolutely best kept secret in GTA! The food was like back home kudos to PAN SEFKUCHAR PATRIK! Sviečková was the svadobná svieckova perfect!. The šnicla was humangus and the potato salad with dill was tasting great. The bryndzové halušky were better than in many of the salaše in Slovakia. Unfortunately, I didn 't take a picture of the halušky.As for the atmosphere, for a while there were two different types of music playing at once: the live one cimbal perfect and the radio ? . This disturbed the welcoming atmosphere of the place.The service was absolutely perfect. What a lovely experience!

Best schnitzels ever ??We picked up 3 schnitzel dinners (with yummy potato salad and tartar sauce on side) ... drove back to Waterloo and had a Euro feast at home. Us Czechs, and even our daughter's canadian boyfriend, loved it. There was so much food left over, we were eating it for 2 more days!Portions are massive, taste and seasoning of food is spot on, service is friendly and accommodating ... what's not to love?You owe it to yourself to go and try it, I am fairly certain you won't be disappointed.

Epic schnitzel!Came here with friends, had the schnitzel and went home with overflowing take-away boxes.All the food we had was perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. Service was pleasant and attentive, but the decor and surroundings could use a bit of sprucing up.But since the portions were massive and so well cooked, we are already planning another visit (unfortunately, we live in Waterloo, so it is a bit out of our way).We will be back. The best Schnitzel and potato salad I have ever had! I love the food here. The chefs are super nice but the waitress could use some training. I have been there twice and will go back many many times because the food is absolutely amazing.Schnitzel plate can be easily shared!! First time I was there I did not know it was this big and of course we had to take most of it home lol

We have been going here since the spring of 2016 and service and staff have been consistently wonderful! The food is superb and the portions are very generous. I highly recommended trying all dishes they are truly authentic Czechoslovakian and enjoy a nice pint of draft beer with them too! Compliments to the chef! It’s also very nice to sit on the patio where we sat today.

Excellent place for the most perfect meal. The portions are huge to say the least, and the quality of food is excellent.Definitely will return to this restaurant, I was more than pleased. The price is very good for portions much to my surprise.Parking: Parking very accessible

Amazing food. Pleasant staff. If you are coming in a large group make sure you order ahead. Everything we ordered came out hot. They prioritized the children’s meals which was so helpful. We recommend the schnitzel, paprikash, stroganoff, potato salad and the fried cheese Réservez une table maintenant

For a dingy looking place on the side of the road, the food here was amazingly good and had huge portions. We even had a love performance! Loved it!

I love this place. Great Slovak food. The best and largest schnitzels anywhere. The potato salad is fabulous. All the portions are large.
