Popped in for a Sunday afternoon lunch and spotted they do roast dinners which sounded great. Nice little venue with lots of natural light and cute building. I had picked this place as locally it said they had good gluten free options. Decided on a pork roast as is was listed as GF and double checked with the server about the gravy etc that was listed with the meal. However when it was brought to the table there was a huge Yorkshire pudding plonked on top which wasn't supposed to come with the pork, luckily its not an allergy for me but for anyone that is coeliac I would be careful with the menu. I was by myself looking to have a quick brunch between a busy work day. It was around noon at the restaurant was completely empty. I asked if I could have a table of one inside and was told no that sitting outside was my only option as they were expecting large groups of people coming in from the film festival. They didn’t have confirmed reservations and chose to decline my preference based on speculation. I’m not sure why she thought I would take up so much space inside by myself. And I work for the festival year round so would have been a recurring customer. Zero customer service.
Looking at the previous reviews they clearly don’t care that the urinals have been backing up for months and refuse to sort the problem. It’s pretty bad when it’s being walked all the way into the eating area and the staff don’t think that’s an issue while people are sat there eating. Food was alright, probably 3/5 stars. Service is exceptionally bad. The staff clearly would rather not be there, despite the 12.5% tip routinely added to the bill. The staff don’t appear to have any proper training, direction or management. Nice building. Shame it can’t be maintained properly.
I’m feeling ripped off and angry at being served terrible food with a hefty bill with ambivalent service and unwelcoming surroundings. Even my 5 year old wouldn’t eat the margarita pizza apart from the crust. Would rather buy a day m sandwich and crisps from Tesco next time and sit on a riverside bench. Gives London a bad rep to serve this to tourists and locals alike. Réservez une table maintenant
Wish I'd read the reviews before going. Good food ruined by very poor service. Abrupt and frankly rude staff. One meal for our party of 5 didn't arrive until the rest of us had almost finished eating ours. Mistakes happen but the perfunctory and insincere apology gave the impression that the staff have no interest in the customer experience. We won't be returning.
Only ended up at The Green Room after walking out of the Blanc Brasserie due to the most incredibly rude service. Couldn’t have been more different….. yes, it’s a more laid back casual dining experience but the food was good (I had a really interesting cheese and pesto pizza) and the server (Maureen) couldn’t have been more delightful. Thanks to the team.
