We have been visiting the hamlet for years. The staff have always been excellent and always very welcoming. Since it changed hands we have drunk in the Hamlet but not been in for a Sunday dinner. To be honest we were a little worried now it’s part of a bigger group the food might have become a bit ‘plastic pub’ (for a better word) I am pleased to say the food was spot on, the menu has loads of new choices and the roast portions were massive, tasted lovely and really well presented. Great stuff. We will be coming back for the Sunday roast from now on
I had another fantastic dinner at The Hamlet Court in Westcliff-on-Sea. I planned to use a free beer from my loyalty card, but ended up chatting on the phone and having another pint. With the recommendation of a friend, I treated myself to a delicious home-cooked meal without the effort. Nicky and Mary provided excellent service, and I enjoyed Spitfire ale, steak, chips, salad, and onion rings. The staff at The Hamlet Court were personal and professional, making it a great dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I sat reading the paper in this fab ' corner plot pub and realised I simply couldn 't be bothered to cook tonight! Laura helped me decide between meat pie and fish... I ordered Sea Bass and trimmings with a large glass, is there any other, of Chardonnay. Yum... new Chef Nick and his team created the perfect dish. This pub, 'The Hamlet Court ' in Westcliff, is a gem of a place and I can 't recommend it enough. Great food, great drink, nice atmosphere and welcoming team. Thanks to all for making everyone feel so welcome.
I had a very enjoyable meal before the show, with excellent service from the friendly staff. The menu had a good variety of options, and I chose the steak and ale pie which was delicious. With a 25% discount with our show tickets, we were able to enjoy 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 main courses for only £30, which I found to be a very reasonable price.

The food was excellent. The drinks were flowing lovely. The Atmosphere was good. The pub was very busy and the staff were very attentive. Could not fault the place. We will be back. This pub, 'The Hamlet Court ' in Westcliff, is a place I can 't recommend enough. I use it as a local, to nip into without planning, to go to for lunch or dinner, to go to to read the paper or clear the laptop. Great food, drink, atmosphere and team. Stayed a couple of days in Southend on Sea. Visited this pub. The atmosphere was absolutely fabulous the staff were very friendly and helpful. The guests were also very friendly. Visited 2 nights and on the second had a meal as well. The food was very good, I had the Haddock and chips. Yumm
Terrible food , over cooked dry tough chicken Caesar Salad . Fish and chips , fish was off, smelt rancid. Paying the bill the waiter was not interested and didn’t care at all. Definitely give this pub a miss if you won’t an edible decent meal.

We dined at this restaurant before heading to a show. The food was exceptional. My friends also ordered dessert, which they enjoyed and said was delicious.
