The Hawthorn Bottle Shop And Tasting Room

While searching online for a place to have dinner, I came across this place and was drawn in by the pictures of the Charcuterie. There are a variety of seating options and a large selection of wines from all over the world for purchase. The food itemportions on the menu are smaller, but perfect for two people and allow for multiple tastings to compliment your wine flights.The staff is highly knowledgeable, and can expertly recommend wines according to what you like. We had the Bee Happy, The Janiceand Prost. All were amazing. If you love wine bars, The Hawthorn offers a great experience.

Had multiple servers. First one with pig tails was incredibly rude, when asked for a certain type of wine it was a No then a hard No , after asking about a region, seemed very uneducated for what was supposed to be a wine bar.. Watched as this girlwent behind the bar and went and talked to every staff member about us, then after 3 other people finally got someone who madeintellectual suggestions. Just wanted a glass of wine without political statements and rude employees. At least the last serverwas good and cheese board was decent???????????

I'm glad I don't live in Helena, because I would end up spending soooo much money here! Not because they're expensive (they're not , but because they have so much goodness! Great selection of killer wines (including a whole bunch of wonderful, wine-geekystuff , by the glass, bottle, flight, *and* take away! Becca (sp? was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! I didn'teat much as I want super hungry, but the cheese board was solid.

We enjoyed our time here as well as the broad list of wine options. The bowl of various olives was a nice addition to our tastings! Server was nice but a bit slow. Maybe it was more busy than it looked. Nice location on the Main Street. Outside seating was available, but only for 4-6 people. VictorB Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4

Variety of beverages, not just wine. Great staff and we enjoy the appetizers. Nothing like some Mulled Grog, curried cashews and a blue cheese jar on a winter day.
