I'm so jealous there isn't one if these in my home town of Mission, BC. This restaurant is very small but don't let the size fool you. It's packed with people and there's even a line. Since my husband and I were traveling with our dog we asked for our order to go. The menu is perfect as its not too large so it takes you forever to pick, but there's enough variety to satisfy any of your morning cravings. I love you can sub fresh fruit in lieu of hash browns as the fruit you receive is beautifully prepared and again; so much variety as you can see from everyone's pictures including my own. This restaurant is close to the Best Western Hotel. I had the classic breakfast. My eggs were cooked to my specifications. They added green onions to the potatoes which were nicely cooked. Slices of ham we're good. The rye bread was good as well. The price was about $11 for the two egg breakfast. The staff were Pleasant. However, the place clearly lacks love. It is small and if the owner would step back and look at it from the door it is looking run down and does not create a good impression. It would not take much to really improve the ambience which is lacking.
This place has a reputation for being great and judging by the line up out the door (20 minute wait for the two of us) and the scrumptious breakfast we both had it is well deserved! Had the stuffed french toast, which was french bread with banana slices, strawberries (fresh) and a lemon cream cheese (very light - not too sweet or too sour) served with real whipped cream and more strawberries, sprinkled with powedered sugar and drizzled with chocolate, $13.95 YUM. I left totally full. Small cafe, adjoining a motel.
If you're going to have breakfast anywhere. Have it here!! This is my favorite place in the valley to eat. I wish they were open for dinner lol lemon dill and Chipotle hollandaise sauce is to die for. Yams Benny is amazing. Must try the huervos. I can't say enough good about this wonderful little restaurant. Even with a line up to wait for a table they are quick ans efficient. Delicious food! Fresh fruit, and most of the food such as meats and breads are from local shops! It is such good food that people wait in line! And it is worth it! It is however a small cafe so smaller groups of 4 is ideal. Service was fast for a full house, our server was wonderful, and nice! My most favourite part is the fresh fruit, I find it is hard to get at cafes and restaurants with out it coming from a can! Definitely a place to go!
The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible with generous portions for both adults and kids. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to anyone looking for quality dining. The staff is also very impressive, being both friendly and professional. Thank you for a great experience.
This restaurant far exceeded my expectations. The service was friendly and competent, and the food was excellent. It is definitely the go-to spot for breakfast in Courtenay. I tried the Raspberry Nutella fruit crepes, which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
