Went for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. Prior to the meal we booked a few weeks before for 7 people and the staff member explained that due to COVID restrictions that we would have to play it by ear as they could only...sit 6 inside. The day before the meal we emailed to confirm and the owner called me and explained it still remained 6 people so they could sit us outside. However, if the weather turned and it rained that we could sit inside on table of 4 and 3 which we were happy with. On arriving to the restaurant we were greeted by the manager and we explained there was only 6 of us now so could we sit inside as the what was previously stated by one of the staff. Wow! This place was amazing. We got a bit lost trying to find it (it's up a side street, but has ample parking) but once we found it, the service, the atmosphere and the food were all exceptional. We sat in their beautiful little courtyard...as it was dry. I honestly can't praise the food enough and Nick who looked after us was also great. If you like small plate style eating, then this one should be on your list.
visited the humble onion with family to celebrate my birthday and it was as good as we all hoped and better! the owner was a fantastic host with much better sweating than I heard before in the wobble! everything was perfect and we have...more of the new wine list than we remember the next morning, which is always a great sign! this was our first visit and will return definitiw. eating was excellent quality. we shared the garnels and mushrooms to start and both had bark meat for all then divided sticky toffee pudding for desert all very delicious. wein was a good value. service excellent and...big ambiente.
