A must try.....and then return to!. I chose to go to The Hungry Monkey based on the reviews here and I am glad I did! The place has a fun and inviting at atmosphere. I got the stuffed monkey bread French toast and a side of homefries. The French toast came out as 3 thick slices of French toast stacked with sweetened cream cheese and sliced apples in between. It was perfect. The homefries were small in comparison, however it was still a good amount. Both were very good and very filling. On the chalkboard wall I believe they had their specials listed. One of them was a reuben omelette and another was a buffalo chicken grilled cheese! The Hungry Monkey is just one of those places you need to go...

C'est l'un des deux de mes endroits de brunch préférés de Newport, et j'essaie toujours de faire en sorte que cela soit un point d'aller quand je suis là. Le menu du petit-déjeuner est étendu et le café est incroyable. J'étais tellement surpris de trouver un endroit qui avait tueur des biscuits et une sauce tueuse (mieux que ma grand-mère sud fait ????)
this is one of two of my favourite brunch places in Newport, and I always try to make it a point to go whenever I'm there. The breakfast menu is extensive and the coffee is AMAZING. I was so surprised to find a place that had killer biscuits and gravy (better than my southern grandmother makes ????)

This is a great place to sit down for brunch! Here, small town diner meets urban flair. The staff is friendly and the menu has a mix of traditional and creative choices something for everyone. If that's not enough, the low prices ought to do it for you.
Great breakfast!. Stopped in to Hungry Monkey this morning; I had scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns toast, my wife had a 'spicy monkey ' burrito. We split a 'monkey bun ' cinnamon role- the food was awesome, and the staff was friendly.
