We started our meal with garlic pizza which was perfect, crust fresh, real garlic used. Coming from an Italian family and spending a lot of time in Italy, I have to say this is the best Italian food I've tasted here! In terms of price and quality of food, it outnumbers every Italian joint in Hobart. The gnocchi was so...fluffy and light and just melted in the mouth. We popped in for the Friday night quick and affordable eat and a few drinks!! We ordered the cottaletta bolognaise, margarita pizza and salad to share. Omg, va bene!!! Pretty amazing, true flavour and with timely good humored service as well!! The staff there are...very friendly and most are Italian too so they also provide the entertainment !! Whilst there we met a few of the regular Italianos and listened to their interesting stories...so gorgeous! Overall; a **** good and cheap night out!
I absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was delicious, fast, and affordable. The simple and casual Italian Kitsch style decor was charming. There was no pretension, just good old-fashioned friendly service. The pizza was amazing with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The cotaletta was also excellent and I appreciated that the vegetables were cooked just enough to maintain some crispness. It was a truly delightful dining experience!
We ate here on two occasions (Wednesday and Thursday), but were too late for Saturday night (wanted to try the veal). Food cooked fresh and the home-made gnocchi was excellent with a fabulous home-made sauce. Wine list not expensive and staff efficient and friendly.
I went a fair few months back now and ordered the same thing I did the first two times. It was alright but no where near as great as I remembered. Turns out they had changed chefs at that time. It was an average experience.
