I like coming here with my best friend. Before I left for uni, he took me here for a few drinks and a game of pool. I love how the pool table is in a separate room away from the main bar. The jukebox is...a nice touch! There is a feeling of community within the bar as it is the same people who you are most likely to find. It is good that The Ivy offers different activities such as guitar club and the camera club which allows members to venture outside the pub into the world! Marty is always really friendly and looking for a chat!
Went to a music gig here which was excellent! The room at the back had a full bar with seating which was mostly stools with some bench seating which luckily was comfortable. Packed front bar! Food available which we didn’t have but full Sunday roast...dinner looked good!
If you like crowded rough and ready bars this is the place for you, used by most as a jumping of point or for serious drinkers, but was pleasantly surprised by the Sunday Carvery. Usually have live music playing at the weekend's.
Such a nice little pub. An amazing friendly atmosphere. I was made to feel very welcome. This is your typical local Thursday nights (and the odd Sunday) seem to hold guitar sing nights. The craic is great!

Eating area a bit noisy not condusive to enjoying a meal Steak ordered medium came well done pepper sauce was very watery, but tasty. On the plus side they serve locally brewed ales that are very tasty

Fantastic local pub with great Guinness. Good venue out the back. Saw the Headchargers there during a local festival. Brilliant. Staff and patrons were friendly and welcoming.
Nice wee local pub friendly staff . Bit of music on most Saturday nights not every week drink prices are reasonable. Function room available Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
