I frequently visit The Keg and have always had good experiences. On my last visit, I ordered my steak medium rare and my guest ordered medium well. However, as I was eating, I noticed that my steak wasn't cooked to my liking. We asked our waiter to compare our steaks and he confirmed that mine was actually medium well. The mashed potatoes, which I usually enjoy, were also disappointing as they were bland. I'm not sure if it was just an off day or perhaps because it was a Sunday and the staff were ready to go home, but I was not impressed with the overall experience. Despite being a long-time customer, this visit fell short of my expectations.
I will not be returning to this restaurant. It's a shame because we really liked the atmosphere and decor. We asked for more bread for our lobster, but never received it. I mentioned to the waiter that the Caesar salad was dry and lacking dressing, but he didn't acknowledge it. In the end, we had to flag down a busser to find our waiter, who was outside smoking. The smell of smoke was off-putting when he returned to our table. However, the steaks were cooked perfectly, which was a positive.
I ordered the summer special, which was steak and half lobster. I would recommend not wearing white to avoid getting lobster juice on your clothes. The food was delicious, and they provided warm butter for the lobster by placing it over a candle. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, although it was slightly chewy. Overall, it was a good experience with attentive and kind staff. Special thanks to TJ, our server for the night, who was awesome.
Service was ok. Drunks were just ok. Food was below par for the keg. I had prime rib which was just ok. The vegetables were cold as were the onion frizzle. What I donât understand stand is i wanted a time of 7 but nine was available. So I had to settle for 5:45. While I was still there at 7:15 multiple tables were still available Réservez une table maintenant
Made a reservation about 10 days before, meeting someone from out of town and important to have our dinner on time. Arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before the schedule and did not have to wait although it seemed to be extremely busy. Great job. Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food was excellant.
