Oh, my God. what happened to this place? we start with the staff. the aspiring, friendly, dedicated, helpful staff that the pub was loved seemed to have disappeared and was replaced by slow, unhelpful, smiling dawdlers. you have always got table service for. foods that are gone, so it's back at the bar where the bar staff comes to you. when no one notices their arrival, so after a few moments of standing there you could say that they are hit for two walk-ins... with an empty star, followed by a view of milder irritation, a look at a worker and, finally, we can do it here (but don't give them any menus, don't say it's order of cash, and won't even deal with them). also the vegan options seem...

the kings arms is a bright light fire in this rather Drab area of the tooley street. fine bar with a selection of ales was the old speckled hen at the entrance excellent. I ordered the rib-eye steak, which was quite good at £22 these...days well cooked, as desired, my only critique was the wide of the steak that I would prefer it thicker, but then it would have been more expensive. thick cut chips were noticeable. service excellent, sympathetic and helpful.

We opted for a light pub meal as we had eaten during the day. Found this pub when we were staying nearby at the Dixon Hotel. Delightful staff tasty food all at very decent prices for London. We had a bottle of Pinot rose.. grilled prawns popcorn chicken which were all delicious. Cheap but great dinner in London. Sat outside ordered through the app. Seats were a bit hard but happy just to be outside! Will be back.

I’m thinking hard about whether 5 bubbles is justified…and concluded that it is the blend of an environment full of character, an obviously ‘decent’ crowd of local regulars, super welcoming staff and good pub food that makes this a place a winner. Independently owned, the...vibe is great and we appreciated and recognised the attention to detail decor, recruitment, menu, focus on quality. All excellent. Réservez une table maintenant

Cons: we came for a work function and had booked an area for 20. We actually got an 8 person table with no space to stand because we would have been blocking the loos the pints are expensive (more than £6 a pint)...Pros: the food!! Get the ribs, they’re amazing. The happy hour (until 8pm when we went on a Thursday) is great. £2 for a bottle of beer or £5 for a double

We visited this popular pub as it was near to where we were staying, what a pleasant surprise. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. The pub itself is clean and nicely decorated, with a relaxed atmosphere. The ribs were amazing!

We visited on the first day that pubs were allowed to open. Table service only, diatancing in place, and saw them clean tables and chairs inbetween each sitting. We hope they can bring back their quiz nights again soon Réservez une table maintenant
